The Special Adviser on Special Duties and Strategy to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Hon. Oluwafemi Fadairo, has pledged to work with the governor and other stakeholders to secure massive support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Fadairo also said the state would surpass its previous electoral performance for the President, setting a target of one million votes for Tinubu.
Speaking at a thanksgiving service and reception held in Akure to appreciate Governor Aiyedatiwa for appointing him as Special Adviser in the cabinet, Fadairo said the task ahead was not only to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state but to communicate the achievements of the Tinubu and Aiyedatiwa administrations to the electorate.
Fadairo pledged to work with APC leaders, government officials and other stakeholders across the 18 local government areas to advance the administration’s political and developmental objectives.
His words: “We will support the governor and work with other stakeholders to ensure that Ondo State is delivered for President Tinubu in 2027.
“We are targeting one million votes, and we will achieve it. As a grassroots person in Akure and Ondo State, I can assure you that we will attain that goal by the grace of God.”
Speaking on his appointment, Fadairo lauded Aiyedatiwa for the confidence reposed in him, saying the fresh opportunity had imposed on him a greater responsibility to contribute to the development of the state.
He described the appointment as a call to service and promised to deploy his experience and network to support the administration.
Fadairo said: “I appreciate Governor Aiyedatiwa for the confidence reposed in me. I will not take the appointment for granted. I am elated and happy that Mr Governor deemed it fit to appoint me at this critical time. I want to appreciate him for the good work he has been doing for the people of Ondo State, and I believe he will continue to do more.”
Fadairo said Aiyedatiwa had continued to provide leadership and implement projects and programmes across the state, urging residents to sustain their support for the administration.
He assured the governor that he would work to improve the performance of his office and ensure that it contributed meaningfully to the administration’s objectives.
His words: “The competence is there, and the sagacity is there. My responsibility is to raise the bar from where it is and ensure the office delivers on its mandate.”
Fadairo also called on residents of Akure and other parts of the state to remain united and patient with the administration.
He, however, expressed confidence that the government would continue to implement policies and programmes targeted at improving their welfare.
